Java is the language I’ve always been intrigued about. And when I say intrigued I mean, it’s one of the first languages I was introduced to. Hence when I was at a cross-road to choose a language, I without any doubt took Java. I’m no expert. I’m just a beginner. I don’t have experience with many languages. That’s why I’m not undermining any language. Just over-emoting my love for Java.

Blah-tip: when you’re thinking you’re taking a lot of time for a choosing a language to start your journey in coding, toss some chits and pick one. That’s how least important this step is in the bigger picture. Later on you can change your language whenever.

So now wasting no more time on random words, here is the list of all the resources you might need to feel like you’ve achieved something in your life:

For the basics:

  1. Java Video Tutorial — YouTube : Derek Banas is your guy when in need. He’ll hold you tight and never let your attention go anywhere. Don’t get scared by the number of videos. You are literally learning a new language. It’ll take some time.(Free resource)
  2. Complete Java Software Developer Masterclass (for Java 10) | Udemy : And if money is something you don’t mind, you can also try, as a substitute to the above tutorial, this course.

For Data Structures and Algorithm:

  1. Java Algorithms — YouTube : Again my favorite Derek Banas. Just do it. OK? (Free resource)
  2. Data Structures and Algorithms: Deep Dive Using Java | Udemy : Again, same instructor as the Java Basics course. You’ll definitely get to know more algorithms. Is it worth your money? Yes.(Paid course)

Now it’s time you start solving EASY and MEDIUM difficulty questions on LeetCode — The World’s Leading Online Programming Learning Platform .

And for the days when you get bored of these videos and want some break, you can explore these:

  1. Alex Lee — YouTube : he does 5–6 min mini projects and explains few java topics.
  2. The Art of Code — Dylan Beattie — YouTube : This an interesting video about codes. This is one of the seminar held at the NDC conferences.
  3. 3Blue1Brown — YouTube : Not related to Java. But an interesting YouTube page which will blow your mind in each and every video.
